ECi M1 ERP

ECi M1 is an ERP from ECi Software Solutions for small-to-medium discrete manufacturers in sectors ranging from aerospace, automotive and fabricated metal products to electronics, machinery, welding, and woodworking.

M1 ERP is built for environments where production, inventory, and order flow are connected. As such, further modules can be added, including financial and sales management modules, along with product, supply chain, and advanced inventory management capabilities.

The system has a unified entry point through the “My M1” home screen, where users can search across functions, access favourites, and return to recent activities, helping users pick up work where they left off.

M1 also supports multiple navigation paths into the system, including flow-based views that map the full business cycle from customer setup and quoting through to sales orders, production scheduling, shipping, invoicing, and payment processing.

These flows are structured as predefined processes, making it easier to onboard new users and understand how different functions connect across departments.

MRP module

M1 includes Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP), where users can generate batches of jobs based on filtering criteria such as plant, time period, and demand signals. MRP sessions allow planners to review job summaries before committing, create jobs in bulk, and track sessions over time for audit and operational control.

Inventory management and other advanced capabilities

Inventory management in ECi M1 ERP extends beyond basic stock tracking, supporting multi-warehouse structures, multiple bin locations within warehouses, and real-time quantity visibility by location. Parts can be cross-referenced across suppliers and customers, including alternate part definitions and unit-of-measure conversions for cases and components, ensuring consistency between purchasing, inventory, and production usage.

Advanced inventory tools also include stock status reporting, warehouse-level cost grouping, and configurable grids for filtering on-hand inventory by location, status, or usage. Warehouse operations support internal requisitions, inter-warehouse transfers, and receiving workflows, allowing inventory movement to be tracked end-to-end between sites.
